For over fifty years, Austin City Limits has been the sacred ground of American roots music — a stage where legends showed up, stripped things down, and played like the cameras weren't rolling. New West Records is proud to bring five of the most celebrated performances in the series' history to vinyl for the very first time.

Delbert McClinton's iconic 1982 performance — remastered specifically for this release — captures one of Texas's most beloved musical institutions at his absolute peak, raw, soulful, and utterly alive. Robert Earl Keen's Live From Austin, TX is the definitive document of a Texas singer-songwriter who never quite fit the mainstream mold — and was all the better for it. The Texas Tornados bring together Freddy Fender, Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers, and Flaco Jimenez in a 19-song Tex-Mex masterclass recorded just one year into their legendary run. Asleep at the Wheel, joined by original Texas Playboys Eldon Shamblin, Leon Rausch, Herb Remington, and Johnny Gimble, deliver a Western Swing performance that is part concert, part living history lesson. And the Outlaw Country guitar pull — Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Joe Shaver, and Kimmie Rhodes trading songs in a September 1996 session that felt less like television and more like a miracle — rounds out a collection that will never be replicated.

Taken together, these five records tell the story of Texas music across five decades — its toughness, its tenderness, its humor, and its soul. Each one has been pressed on vinyl the way it was always meant to be heard.

Five performances. Five legends. One stage. On vinyl for the first time.
